Textile Recycling Drive

With spring cleaning on everyone’s to-do list, what better way to make use of your unwanted textiles than donating them to a good cause? Our girl Nichole at Modern Saint Living has partnered with Uptown Consignment in Hamden for it’s 6th Annual Textile Recycling Drive. Striving to repurpose unwanted textiles and save them from being dumped into our landfills. This is a project we can definitely get behind!

Did you know Americans alone send 10 million tons of clothing to the dump each year? To date they have saved 7571lbs of textiles from the landfills with the help of Green Tree Textiles.

How you can help:

Donate your unwearable textiles so they can be recycled into new products.

RECYCLE THE FOLLOWING: clothing, footwear, belts, ties, purses, pillows, bedding, table linens, drapes, stuffed animals.

Items can be in the following condition: moth-eaten, faded, torn, stained, as long as CLEAN & DRY.

 **NO carpets, rugs, oil rags, & no wet or mildewed items.**

Hello Boutique  will happily be collecting donations now through Thursday, June 10th! Or drop off at the event on Saturday, June 12th at Uptown Consignment in Hamden, CT from 9:30am-12:30pm.
